Barot Valley, sitting at 1,835 meters (6,020 feet) above sea level, is a hidden jewel in Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by green hills and crossed by the Uhl River, this valley is a perfect getaway for those who love peace and nature. You can fish in the river, go trekking in the hills, or camp under the stars. Barot Valley’s natural beauty and simple village life make it a place where you can relax and enjoy the wonders of the Himalayas.
Palachak Two Days Trek
Step into the pristine beauty of the Palachak Valley Trek, a hidden gem in the heart of Himachal Pradesh. This two-day, easy-to-moderate adventure winds through fragrant oak forests, follows the crystal-clear waters of the Uhl River, and opens into breathtaking views of the snow-capped Dhauladhar Range. The trail covers around 12 km one way to the Zoudi Waterfall (about 6 hours of walking) and takes roughly 3 hours to return to the base camp at Palachak. Spend a cozy night in this peaceful valley, surrounded by mountain silence and starlit skies.

Rewalsar Lake, at 1,360 meters (4,462 feet), is a serene and sacred spot in Himachal Pradesh. Surrounded by monasteries, temples, and gurudwaras, it holds special significance for Buddhists, Hindus, and Sikhs. The lake's waters are known for their purity and spiritual importance. It’s an ideal place to relax, reflect, and connect with nature and spirituality. Rewalsar is also significant in Tibetan Buddhism as the residence and spiritual awakening site of Guru Rinpoche Padmasambhava.
Brief Itinerary
Begin your journey through the scenic landscapes of Himachal Pradesh. On the way, visit an ancient temple or monastery, and soak in the peaceful charm of the Barot Valley, nestled beside the Uhl River.
After an early breakfast, we start the Palachak Valley Trek.

Today, we will trek back to Barot Valley, enjoying the serene river views and forest trails. In the evening, relax by the riverside, reflecting on the stillness and beauty of the Himalayas.
We drive toward Rewalsar, a sacred lake town known for its deep spiritual atmosphere. On the way, we visit an ancient temple.
In the evening, we gather for meditation at the Padmasambhava Cave, a sacred site of inner silence and transformation.

Today we will visit the Padmasambhava Monastery, temple and lake. Then enjoy a peaceful afternoon at your leisure.
After an early dinner (around 6 PM), we return to the Padmasambhava Cave for a deep meditation session in a sacred.

After breakfast, we begin our return journey to Chandigarh Airport for departure.

The first part of the trek is easy to moderate, so everyone can do it comfortably. The second part is optional — an uphill trek to the waterfall — which is moderate and not too difficult.
To make your journey easy in flight and bus, please try to bring limited luggage.
Carry one large bag (20–30 kg), based on airline baggage rules. If you really need extra space, you may bring one small bag (7–10 kg), which will stay in the bus during road journey (But only if it is necessary to carry two bags).
Keep a small hand bag for your medicines and other important items during travel.
Osho Nisarga at Dharamshala has a paid laundry service, so you do not need to bring many clothes.
If you plan to visit every year, Rahi offers a storage facility. You can store your luggage here, especially maroon and white meditation robes, so you don’t have to carry them each time.
